About
My husband, Fynn, and I grew up in Chattanooga, TN, which sits at the southern terminus of the Appalachian Mountains. That meant that, as kids, we had the great fortune of exploring the forests and creeks of Lookout Mountain, the Cumberland Plateau, and the nearby Smoky Mountains. As adults, we both became trail runners -- a hobby, escape, pastime, form of adventure -- that never fails to make us feel more connected and more in touch with who we are.
Eulal!a was born from our love of the mountains, our love of trail running, and our desire to bring color and art to the gear that enables our adventures.
The name Eulalia is a feminine given name of greek origin, which means well-spoken. Like a great toast, there’s nothing like a great trail run, hike, backpacking trip, or long walk to put things into perspective and remind us to write the record in our own way. Eulal!a was also the battle-cry of the great badger warriors in Brian Jacques’ children’s fantasy series, which inspired Fynn so much that he’s read them aloud to Mary Howard whenever she’ll listen.
Our goal is to bring beauty, art, and a feeling of “well-said” to our products, and we hope that in Eual!a, you’ll find your own sense of self-expression, color, and light.
